AWS Lightsail vs Shared Hosting

Lightsail bundles compute, storage, and networking in a simplified package, while shared hosting offers limited resources at low cost. How does price, performance, and setup complexity compare for small WordPress or business sites?
 
Lightsail is easy-to-use virtual private server instances on AWS, shared hosting shares servers with other users. It can be very risky to share server, especially for websites that uses sensitive data (payment information for example). Shared hosting can be ok for small wordpress site or a blog, but for bigger projects ot even business website, you need something better, Lightsail can be a better option.

OK. I'm confused here. Bigger sites and a business website would never need shared to begin with, right? So why would the need the AWS equivalent of Lightsail?

Maybe the OP wanted to compare Lightsail with Shared Hosting for beginners or small websites. Well, I think if there is no issue with budget, you should always start with something robust, even when your project is small.
