AWS Free Tier: What Can You Really Do?

I think they revamped AWS Free Tier earlier this year. I believe you can use it for free only for six months. I think six months are enough for you to determine whether you should upgrade or just leave it.

As much as there are so many things which can be done using the AWS Free Tier service, there are still limitations to what it can do. Some of the prominent ones are that ; you can’t host high-traffic websites and also can’t run big or powerful servers on the Free Tier.

For me the free tier number one use case is either EC2 or S3. S3 to test the various management tooling (moving from standard to Infrequent access for example.

S3, truly is the really hidden gem of the entire AWS stack if you ask me.

It is a lot of time to check out whatever one has to do. As a site owner, I will use that time to analyse what I've gotten with the free version as that will shape my next step toward paying for the other services.
