AWS S3 vs Google Cloud Storage

S3 and Google Cloud both offer scalable object storage. How do storage, retrieval, and transfer costs compare between these two? Are advanced features like lifecycle rules and versioning worth learning, or is simpler pricing from competitors easier for small projects?
 
I’ve used Google Cloud Storage but not AWS S3 yet, so I might not be able to draw comparisons based on my personal experience, however, I can analyze based on what I know. I find Google Cloud Storage simple and slightly cheaper per gigabyte, with easy pricing and built-in multi-region options. I think AWS S3 offers more storage class flexibility, automated tiering, and deeper integration with other AWS tools, but its pricing and features are more complex to manage.
