How Do You Handle Backups and Disaster Recovery on AWS

How should beginners handle backups? Is S3 versioning enough, or should snapshots of EC2 and RDS also be used? How do people balance cost and reliability? I haven’t used any kind of AWS services so I would like to know how do you handle backups. In case of any disaster, how do you recover?

You need to combine automated tools with clear planning for backups and disaster recovery. Services like AWS Backup, S3 versioning, RDS snapshots, and multi-AZ or multi-region replication help protect data.

You can handle backups on AWS by automating with AWS Backup, snapshots, and versioning. You can also store copies in different regions. For disaster recovery, design for redundancy using multiple availability zones.
