VPS plans have fixed resources, AWS can scale dynamically. How do performance, cost, and setup effort compare when traffic suddenly increases? Is auto-scaling worth the complexity for small and medium sites, or do you think fixed resources are the better option?
 
Generally speaking, AWS is more powerful than an average VPS, therefore, it handles traffic spikes better. That's better because it’s built for auto-scaling, load balancing, and rapid resource expansion. A VPS has fixed limits, so sudden spikes can overwhelm it.

Calling AWS the “AI of hosting” isn’t too far off, its AI and automation tools like SageMaker, Bedrock, and managed services give it a big edge in efficiency, scalability, and advanced features. But traditional hosting still has its place: smaller sites, simple setups, or budget-conscious users don’t always need AWS’s complexity.
