OK. I'm confused here. Bigger sites and a business website would never need shared to begin with, right? So why would the need the AWS equivalent of Lightsail?

Well, my guess is that this stuff is hands-off so the people you paid will deal with it, but how? Where to even begin?

I suspect it's not worth it. Well, even assuming the same model worked for smaller sites, I suspect AWS doesn't want smaller sites because it's unprofitable for them.

It shouldn't be a big concern because you're paying more to have others watch your site.

Yeah, I would imagine AWS to be for sites like Facebook and somewhat smaller ones like WalMart.com or something. I mean, how big are we talking about here?

This is obviously for big players, not hobbyists.

How expensive is the upgrade? I mean, free might be awesome for a lot of people, but the later cost could be discouraging.

It seems like AWS is better for big players. Well, myself I don't need complex hosting and the hosting I currently have is only 3 USD monthly for each account and I have three accounts so I can take advantage of the free SSL with each one.

My hobbies are gaming, music performance, web development, hiking, computer art etc. My current home is the mountains of Southwest Virginia USA. I hope to learn much on here, cause honestly I'm new to the topic.
